So this is my final contribution to the Kiss My glASS Party. I wanted to have it done earlier, but it just didn' t happen. I'm posting it here, because it's Jaitlin.

Okay, so this is a one-shot and the first thing I've written in a while. I'm hoping it has cured my case of writer's block.

Disclaimer: I don't own John and Caitlin. I don't know them. They aren't together in real life and this is solely for fun.

Caitlin glanced at her script in the cab on the way to work. She was running late and hadn't even had a chance too look over her scenes for the day. As she sat in traffic she tried to focus on the pages in her hands, but her mind wandered to the previous nights activities. She and John had been together for five months but it still felt so new to her.

The cab drivers voice snapped her out of her daydreams and she realized they had pulled up in front of the studio. She paid him and hopped out of the car, mentally kicking herself for neglecting to read over her script for the day. She headed toward her dressing room, flipping the first few pages. She felt a grin spread across her face, she changed direction immediately and practically burst through the door of John's dressing room, where he was sprawled out across his couch.

“Have you seen the script?” She asked with barely contained excitement. “We have scenes together, FINALLY!”

John gave her a guarded look and then asked cautiously, “did you actually read any of the script?”

Caitlin frowned and glanced back at the papers she was holding. She scanned the scenes she shared with
John and her jaw dropped.

“BETH? But... that's just...”

“Gross? Disturbing? Creepy?” John supplied helpfully, sitting up.

“Wrong!” Caitlin said feeling a sudden urge to stomp her foot in anger. She took a breath and tried to push away the temper tantrum she desperately wanted to have. “It just doesn't make sense.” She said, finally, in a calm voice.

John stood up and placed his hands on her shoulders, giving them a squeeze. “Have you forgotten what show we are on?”

At his words, Caitlin couldn't help the smile that tugged at her lips. She let out a soft laugh and wrapped her arms around John's waist, hugging him close. He tilted her chin up and placed a soft kiss on her lips, but Caitlin put her hand in his hair pulling him closer. The kiss deepened as they heard the loud speaker announcing that John was needed on set. He pulled away with a sigh.

“I've got to go, they are filming my scene with Beth first, since you were late.” He said tapping her nose teasingly. She rolled her eyes at him gave him another quick kiss and watched him leave the room. Then it hit her... just what was this scene with Beth? Caitlin picked up her script and starting scanning the pages again.

*******************

Caitlin crept quietly on to the set. She stood in the back so that no one would notice and watched as the producer blocked the scene, pushing John and Beth in to the right places. After reading the script she realized that there was no way she was going to be able to stay in the dressing room while her boyfriend was out here kissing someone else. She shook her head, no, not her boyfriend... it was Coop kissing Beth. She had to remember that. Without thought she let out a sigh and then glanced around to make sure no one had noticed her. This should be easier for her, after all, she was an actor too. She understood, but then again, the first big love story she'd ever acted in had turned out to be true. That thought put a slight smile on her face, but it was cut short when the director yelled action.

Caitlin watched the scene unfold before her and she was trying very hard to be professional and to be okay with her boyfriend, no, Coop... kissing someone else. When the director yelled cut she felt the tension leave her shoulders until she heard someone say they needed to run the scene again and change the camera angles. Realizing she had reached her limit she headed to her dressing room for the first time that day. For a moment the only thing she could think was that the image of John locked in an embrace with Beth was going to be permanently burned in to her brain, but before she could dwell on that there was a knock on her door.

Before she could say anything the door opened and John stuck his head in, once he spotted her he came in and shut the door, plopping down on the sofa next to her and throwing an arm around her. She couldn't stop the glare she shot at him, even though she knew he had done nothing to deserve it.

John gave her an amused smirk, his hand tangling in her blond hair. “You shouldn't have been there watching.” Her eyes widened and shot to his. Her mouth forming an O.

“How did you know I was there? Did anyone else notice me?” Caitlin was a little mortified. What if everyone had seen her spying?

“Nobody else noticed you.” He said with a chuckle.

“Then how did you?”

“I knew the moment you walked in, Caitlin. I just felt you.” John's words were soft and a little embarrassed. Caitlin grinned and her eyes got a little misty at his words. Suddenly it didn't matter anymore that COOP had been kissing Beth, because she knew that John was all hers.

John leaned close to kiss her, but before his mouth could touch hers, she placed her hand over his lips. “No kissing. Not until you brush your teeth....” Her voice trailed off for a moment and then she added “and use mouthwash too.” John burst out laughing and after a moment or two, Caitlin joined in. She supposed she'd have to make sure he stocked up on mouthwash, it was just one of the hazards of dating an actor.
