“Ashlee...” Coop pulled his girlfriend in to his arms. “I love you...” She smiled up in to his eyes. “I think you are the most amazing and beautiful woman in the world...” He watched her cheeks turn pink. “But...” Her brow furrowed. “There is no possible way we are getting this couch through that door-way.”
Their decision to move in together was the right one, Ashlee's decision that they didn't need movers was terrible. The couch they had just purchased was now lodged half-way in to their new apartment and half-way out in the hallway.
“Coop, we have to get it in the apartment... we certainly can't leave it here.” She added pointing down to the couch. She eyed it for a few moments biting her bottom lip. Coop involuntarily licked his own lips in response. He had been having a hard time keeping his hands off her all day and she was definitely not helping.
She had on jeans and a shirt that was a bit low-cut... and it was blue. He always loved her in blue. Her skin was flushed from where they had hauled the couch up three flights of stairs and wisps of blond hair had escaped from her ponytail and were framing her face. He was so busy thinking about all things he would rather be doing at that moment that he completely missed what she had said.
“What?” Coop shook his head, as if that would help him focus.
“I said, maybe we should try pulling it in from the other side.” Ashlee's eyes were serious and Coop wondered if she was worried something would happen to couch that she had fallen in love with.
“Yeah... okay, lets try it.” He didn't tell her that he didn't think there was a chance in hell that was going to work.
Ashlee climbed on to the couch because walking across the couch was the only way in or out of the apartment at the moment. Coop followed her. She was carefully making her way across when her foot got caught in between the cushions. She let out a yelp before falling back in to him, both of them landing in a heap on the couch.
Ashlee landed on top of him and when she lifted her head off his chest, she was grinning. When their eyes met they both burst out laughing. She shifted against him trying to find a more comfortable position, but all her wiggling was definitely making Coop a bit uncomfortable. Coop grabbed her hips in attempt to still her movements. When Ashlee's eyes met his again they had turned a shade darker.
Their mouths met in a passionate tango of lips and tongues. His hands left her waist and found their way into her jeans, cupping her ass. Ashlee let out a soft moan at the same time he heard the sound of someone clearing their throat.
Coop and Ashlee reluctantly pulled apart and from Coop's glanced up and found Frank towering over them. Ashlee sat up quickly, pulling herself together.
“You guys do realize that one of your new neighbors could walk by, right?” Frank asked with a raised eyebrow and an exasperated tone.
“Frank, what are you doing here?” Coop asked instead of answering his question. The truth was that he had completely forgotten that their couch hadn't quite made it into the apartment yet.
“You asked me to come over and help move the couch!” Frank's voice was raised a bit in annoyance.
“Oh... right.” From the other side of the couch, he heard Ashlee laugh before disappearing in to their apartment. Coop let out a sigh. He hoped that he and Frank had better luck getting the couch through the door-way because he was desperate to finish what he and Ashlee had started.
