Hooray for Snow!

So, today we got an unexpected 3 inches of snow. The fam and myself went on a bit of a nature walk and I took some photos, and I thought they came out kind of cool so I'm going to post them. Also, I made some icons using them too.

Sidenote: I will be redoing my LJ tags over the next few days so hopefully they will be a bit more user-friendly.

Oh, how beautiful - we certainly don't get scenery like that in Melbourne! Today is a warm and sunny 30 degrees Celsius and tomorrow up to a sweltering 37 (sorry don't know how to convert that - suffice to say HOT)!

These pics remind me of a lovely holiday the hubby & I had PK (pre-kids) to Canada, and it snowed whilst staying at Lake Louise!

*laughing* Thank you! I knew you were going to bring that up. In my defense, when I said that we had 8 inches of snow here and it had been -17 degrees. Normally I like snow, especially the big fluffy kind. I just hate when we get so much of it that you can't drive and you have to chip an iceberg off your car just to get in the damn thing. That being said, I hope you get some pretty fluffy snow when you go to MD. *hugs*

We watched the HQ clip without subtitles first because we couldn't wait, and then watched the one with subtitles to actually see what they were saying. LOOOOOVED the scenes! I've missed them so much! ♥

I'm not sure which state you're in. but here in NC we got 3 inches last week too. We hardly ever get a lot. About 10 years ago we got almost 18 inches and the weather men didn't even report it. That was an awesome surprise. We were without power for 5 days. We got really cold. I love the snow though. These pictures reminded me of what it looked like at my house. Thanks for sharing.--BettyB

I'm from Ohio, so it's safe to say it snows here a lot, but it's usually not the big fluffy snow like we had yesterday. And usually it's too cold to enjoy it, so this was really a bonus day for us. We are actually expecting more snow tomorrow as well.
